My Rekindled Love For Hip Hop

Its seems a long while back now i used to be in-love with Hip Hop, it seems in my memory all i listened too within reason was Hip Hop, no specific alliance with west coast or east coast gangster or tech freestyles, just good Hip Hop, for some reason over past years and time i listened to less and less Hip Hop and this genre for me became a little lost in my sea of music, however i recently stubbled up on a Classic Rap iTunes Radio station from SKY.FM which after listening too seems to have defibrillated my love for Hip Hop and now cant get enough, so in celebration of my re-found love, please enjoy this little selection of some of my favorite tracks...

Got Monster?

So i got to POPNOW 10/11 The Market Buildings ME14 1HP yesterday morning to find 4 mysterious boxes waiting for me, turns out my mate James over at Monster had sent crates of Monster cans, Monster shots and Monsters coffee based drink, as a shop warming gift, no excuse for us at The Market Buildings not to be on-point now...

SATURDAY SIT-DOWN with 'Jim Vooght' and 'Monster Energy'

Today we welcome Jim from Monster on the SATURDAY SIT-DOWN

I'm Jim Vooght and after years of working for free or very little on various magazines & shops around Europe the living in peoples garages and floors finally gets to you, I have now found myself at Monster Energy helping out with their action sports programme in Europe, its a sick company and I still get to do all the things I did before but now I get to stay in Hotels rooms instead….sometimes.

So this is my first instalment for the POPNOW blog, and its about a little trip I just did down to the winter X-Games in Tignes, France (the first ever X-Games in Europe) a few weeks back which was sick, good friends, good parties, some sick riding and one jacuzzi photo shoot with the Monster Girls which was insane!!

So me and my flat-mate Andy who also happens to be the head photographer here at Monster drove this piece of shit '96 Japanese space bus, full to burst with boards and fridges and all kinds of shit for 12 hours through the Alps and amazingly it made it there, 12 hours, 1 ticket from the police, 14 cans of Monster, 40 Cigarettes and 1 fucking horrible smell coming from the bus we could not locate…… bad news is the bus never made it back, at time of writing its still sitting outside the bowling alley in LeLac, cant say i'm sad about that though…Check this video to see what went down, I think we slightly lost my mind on that trip due to the smell of that van.
